Mother of Fallen SEAL Rebukes Clinton and Obama

From jackohoft on YouTube:
Karen Vaughn, mother of fallen Navy Seal of Aaron Carson Vaughn, reacts to Barack Obama's campaign ad "One Chance." Karen and Billy Vaughn lost their son Aaron last year in Afghanistan.
Thank you Karen and Billy Vaughn for your heroism and sacrifice.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mrs. Vaughan is right about the audacity of the Clinton/Obama Ad.  These two hypocritical politicians see everything in the world only as it affects themselves.  The lives of the Navy SEALS are important to them only in relation to their own political survival.

CBS Embraces Truth. Where Have You Gone, Dan Rather?

If the rest of the main stream media embraces the truth about Mitt Romney - and about Barack Obama (which they have yet to do) - American Exceptionalism will once again manifest itself around the world.

Mike Huckabee Clears the Air

Mike Huckabee's speech at the GOP Convention last night was largely overlooked, but he had a very clear message, and delivered it forcefully:
Let me clear the air about whether guys like me would only support an evangelical. Of the four people on the two tickets, the only self-professed evangelical is Barack Obama, and he supports changing the definition of marriage, believes that human life is disposable and expendable at any time in the womb or even beyond the womb, and tells people of faith that they must bow their knees to the god of government and violate their faith and conscience in order to comply with what he calls health care… The attack on my Catholic brothers and sisters is an attack on me....This isn't a battle about contraceptives and Catholics, but of conscience and the Creator. I care far less as to where Mitt Romney takes his family to church than I do about where he takes this country. (emphasis added)

"President Obama’s version of America is a divided one --
often pitting us against each other based on our income level, gender, and social status.
His policies have failed us!
We're NOT better off than we were 4 years ago,
and NO rhetoric, bumper sticker, or Hollywood campaign ad can change that."

"If he (Obama) can take credit for government building small
businesses, then he can accept responsibility for breaking his
promise and adding $5 trillion to the national debt.  Because he
did build that."

"...We do not have a choice. We cannot be reluctant to lead — and you cannot lead from behind.”

Mark Levin: "Obama is not a Nice Guy"

http://www.mrctv.org/audio/mark-levin-opening-monologue-obama-not-nice-guy-hugo-chavez-smile-still-hugo-chavez

From the Media Research Center:
We now have Mitt Romney and others saying that President Obama is a nice guy. We're in the middle of a political fight for the country, and we're trying to play nice with someone that isn't being nice to our children or the future of our country. What is going on here? Look at what Obama has said and what he has done - does that come across as a nice person, someone that has your best interests at heart?

St. Louis of France: Fathers and Sons

Yesterday was the feast of St. Louis of France, King Louis IX (1226-1270).  Fr. Anthony Mary, spoke of St. Louis during his homily at Mass on EWTN.  He spoke of a letter St. Louis had written to his son, and any father watching had to think: "If only I had written such a letter to my son(s)."  Well, it's never too late, and since the message cannot be put any better, or with any more clarity, it seemed like a good idea to just find a copy of the letter from St. Louis, and print it here.

The letter was found at CatholicRadioDramas.com, and the following was taken from that site:
St. Louis (Louis IX) (1214-1270) was born in 1214 and became king of France when he was only twenty-two years old. He married and became the father of eleven children whom he carefully instructed in the Christian way of life. His biographers tell of his devotion to long hours of prayer, fasting and penance, devotions not made known to his subjects. He was known for his love and compassion for the poor and upheld justice in their behalf. He worked to maintain peace among peoples and for the temporal good of his subjects and had great concern for their spiritual welfare. He founded a number of monasteries and built hospitals for lepers.
When news arrived that Moslems had defeated the Christians in the Holy Land and had invaded Jerusalem, he undertook two Crusades to recover the tomb and the cross of Christ as well as other holy relics which were being destroyed by the invaders. He died near Carthage during the second crusade to the Holy Land in 1270. Below is a letter he wrote to his son, preparing him to take his place on the throne as king.

My dearest son, my first instruction is that you should love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your strength. Without this there is no salvation. Keep yourself, my son, from everything that you know displeases God, that is to say, from every mortal sin. You should permit yourself to be tormented by every kind of martyrdom before you would allow yourself to commit a mortal sin.
If the Lord has permitted you to have some trial, bear it willingly and with gratitude, considering that it has happened for your good and that perhaps you well deserved it. If the Lord bestows upon you any kind of prosperity, thank him humbly and see that you become no worse for it, either through vain pride or anything else, because you ought not to oppose God or offend him in the matter of his gifts.
Listen to the divine office with pleasure and devotion. As long as you are in church, be careful not to let your eyes wander and not to speak empty words, but pray to the Lord devoutly, either aloud or with the interior prayer of the heart.
Be kindhearted to the poor, the unfortunate and the afflicted. Give them as much help and consolation as you can. Thank God for all the benefits he has bestowed upon you, that you may be worthy to receive greater. Be just to your subjects, swaying neither to right nor left, but holding the line of justice. Always side with the poor rather that with the rich, until you are certain of the truth. See that all your subjects live in justice and peace, but especially those who have ecclesiastical rank and who belong to religious orders.
Be devout and obedient to our mother the Church of Rome and the Supreme Pontiff as your spiritual father. Work to remove all sin from your land, particularly blasphemies and heresies.
In conclusion, dearest son, I give you every blessing that a loving father can give a son. May the three Persons of the Holy Trinity and all the saints protect you from every evil. And may the Lord give you the grace to do his will so that he may be served and honored through you, that in the next life we may together come to see him, love him and praise him unceasingly. Amen.
NOTE: King Louis wrote his letter when he was near death in Tunis (at the age of 44), after being defeated in the Eighth Crusade, which he had led. The son to whom he addressed his letter was Prince Philip, who became King Philip III on the death of his father.  The Prince had accompanied his father on the Crusade to Tunis.

Kimberly Strassel: Obama's Silent Agenda

Kimberly Strassel, wrote in the Wall Street Journal yesterday about the silent second-term agenda (the one we aren't hearing about) of President Obama.  People intent on giving Obama another four years in the White House really have no idea what will happen if they do.  This piece should give them an idea of the consequences of their intended vote.
President Obama has a reputation for talking, but not necessarily for saying much. He has achieved new levels of vagueness this election season. Beyond repeating that he's in favor of making the "rich" pay for more government "investment," he hasn't offered a single new idea for a second term. This is deliberate.
The core of the Obama strategy is to make Americans worry that whatever Mitt Romney does, it will be worse. That's a harder case for Mr. Obama to make if he is himself proposing change. And so the Obama pitch is that this election is a choice between stability (giving Mr. Obama four more years to let his policies finally work) and upheaval (giving Mr. Romney four years to re-ruin the nation).
The pitch is profoundly dishonest. While the choice between four more years of Obama status quo and Mr. Romney is certainly vivid, it isn't accurate. The real contrast is between Mr. Romney's and Mr. Obama's future plans. And while the president hasn't revealed what those plans are, there is plenty of evidence for what a second term would look like.

Paul Ryan is no Barack Obama

From an E-Mail message, author unknown:
Well, early Saturday morning we learned that Congressman Paul Ryan, Republican from Wisconsin, is to be Mitt Romney's pick for the next Vice President of The United States.
What are we to think of this selection?  He's not a graduate of Columbia University.  He's not a graduate of Harvard.  He wasn't selected as the President of the Harvard Law Review.  He didn't get a special free quota scholarship ride to any prestigious university and, instead, had to work his way through Miami University of Ohio.  For God's sake the man drove the Oscar Mayer Wiener Truck one summer and waited tables another!
One morning when Paul Ryan was sixteen years old he went in to wake his father up and found him dead of a heart attack.  He didn't write two books about that experience.  Instead, he assumed the role of adult at an early age, never having the luxury to pursue youthful drug use and the art of socialist revolution.
Instead, Paul Ryan and his mother took his grandmother, suffering from Alzheimers, into the household and served as the primary care provider for his grandma.  His grandma wasn't the Vice President of the Bank of Hawaii so she could offer nothing in return, except the element of "need".
Once Paul Ryan got his BA in Economics from Miami University of Ohio he was hired as a staff economist in Wisconsin Senator Kastin's office.  The job must have not paid well because young Ryan moonlighted as a waiter and fitness trainer.  No one offered him a "token honor" position at the University of Chicago and a $200,000 dollar a year salary.
When a still young Paul Ryan returned to Wisconsin to run for Congress he didn't demonize his opponent and dig up dirt to shovel against him.  He waited until the standing Congressman vacated the office before seeking the office.   In Janesville, Wisconsin they don't have a big political machine to promote you, to criminalize your opponent; instead Paul Ryan had to go door to door and sit at kitchen tables and listen to his future constituents.
After getting elected to Congress Paul Ryan didn't triumphantly march into Washington, buy himself a Georgetown townhouse and proceed over to K Street to rub elbows with lobbyists.  He bunked in his Congressional office and used the house gym for showers and a fresh change of clothes.
Paul Ryan then married and took his bride back to Janesville.  He lives on the same street he lived on as a kid and shares the neighborhood with eight other members of the Ryan clan.  He hunts with the local Janesville hunt club and attends PTA meetings and other civic functions.
For those who can't make those public functions, Paul Ryan bought an old bread truck, converted it into a "mobile constituent office" and drives around to meet with those who need his help and attention.
No, I don't know if we can vote for a guy like this.  He doesn't have a regal pedigree; he's Irish for God's sake!  No one awarded him a Nobel Peace Prize two months after getting elected.  No one threw flowers or got "chills down their leg" as a he took his seat in Congress.
What is most despicable about Paul Ryan is that he has had the nerve to write the House Budget for three years in a row.  He's is brazen and heartless in advocating in that budget for a $5 trillion dollar reduction in federal spending over the next ten years!  The House passed his budget three years in a row and three years in a row the Democratically controlled Senate has let it die in the upper house, without ever proposing a budget of their own.   What is wrong with this guy?  If Congress were to cut $5 trillion dollars from the budget where would the President get the money to give $500 million dollars to a bankrupt Solyndra?  Or $200 million dollars for bankrupt Energy 1?  Or $11 billion dollars to illegal aliens filing INIT, non-resident tax returns to claim $11 billion big ones in child tax credits, even for their children living in Mexico?
I don't know.  Paul Ryan seems heartless to me.  He keeps wanting to cut government waste, he keeps wanting to put a halt to those big GSA conventions in Vegas and, worse, he keeps trying to make people look at that $16.7 trillion dollar deficit!  The guy's no fun at all!
Who wants a numbers cruncher?  Who wants someone spoiling the party by showing folks the bill?  Nothing will spoil a party quicker than sending the host the bill before the party's over.
Party Hearty folks!  At least until November.

Alfonzo Rachel: "The Democrats Long History of Racism"

http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=84&load=7341

From PJ Media:
Vice President Joe Biden accused the GOP of wanting to put people in chains. Were his words taken out of context, or could this be another racist sentiment at the core of the Democratic party? Hear the details on this ZoNation.
Alfonzo Rachel points out how the Democrats are the masters of what psychologists call Transference: "a reproduction of emotions relating to repressed experiences, especially of childhood, and the substitution of another person ... for the original object of the repressed impulses."  In other words they blame others for their own sins.

Obama Administration: Dishonorable Disclosures

From YouTube:

Published on Aug 15, 2012 by OPSECTeam
Intelligence and Special Operations forces are furious and frustrated at how President Obama and those in positions of authority have exploited their service for political advantage. Countless leaks, interviews and decisions by the Obama Administration and other government officials have undermined the success of our Intelligence and Special Operations forces and put future missions and personnel at risk.
The unwarranted and dangerous public disclosure of Special Forces Operations is so serious -- that for the first time ever -- former operators have agreed to risk their reputations and go 'on the record' in a special documentary titled "Dishonorable Disclosures." Its goal is to educate America about serious breaches of security and prevent them from ever happening again.
Use of military ranks, titles & photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement of the Dept of the Army or the Department of Defense. All individuals are no longer in active service with any federal agency or military service.

Lolo Jones: A Christian Virgin and Proud of It

Olympian Lolo Jones is a true role model for young girls, but has been severely ridiculed for her stance.  Mary Carillo, in fact, disappoints in the video because she can't seem to grasp why Jones feels the way she does about saving herself for marriage.  That's unfortunate, because there are a  lot more people who scoff at what Jones is doing than applaud her for it, and Carillo's laughing during the interview feeds into the belief of the scoffers.

This is from a post at the Washingtonpost.com:
A devout Christian, Jones has previously discussed the central role religion plays in her life from reading the Bible before a race to listening to Christian music. That faith has helped her persevere through a trying childhood in Des Moines, Iowa. Jones’ family was so poor that she had to shoplift frozen dinners.
