The Culture of "Today"
The people at the NBC "Today" show have decided to do their part in the shaping of our culture. They decided it's time to change the rules for the show's annual wedding contest and allow same-sex couples to apply to have their ceremony conducted on the show.
The Verum Serum Blog posted the story yesterday.
"We’re thrilled that `Today’ show’s `Modern Wedding Contest’ now recognizes what most fair-minded Americans have already concluded – a wedding celebrates love and commitment, whether the spouses are straight or gay,” said Jarrett Barrios, president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
One wonders how Mr. Barrios defines "fair-minded Americans."
