GAS HOAX
FROM YOU TUBE:
Published on Oct 1, 2015
A new short film by Phelim McAleer that debunks another fracking health scare by Josh Fox, director of GASWORK. GasHoax highlights how many of Fox's claims have been proven false, and it criticizes journalists for continuing to report new claims despite Fox's record of unethical and misleading journalism.

Trifecta: More on Obama's Oil Scarcity Myth
It would be difficult to name the greatest scandal of the current administration in Washington, but the continuing lies being put out by the president and his people - especially Energy Secretary Steven Chu - about our oil reserves would have to rank pretty high on the list. As Bill Whittle makes clear: Obama will not even admit the existence of our vast amounts of oil let alone actually drill for it, but it will still be there when he's gone. Keep that in mind on November 6th.

Obama's Oil Scarcity Myth
From Powerline on Saturday:
From Powerline on Saturday:
America has more fossil fuel resources than any other nation. Russia is second, Saudi Arabia is third. On Thursday, a representative of the Government Accountability Office testified before the House Science Subcommittee on Energy and Environment that the Green River Formation alone–it is located at the intersection of the states of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, and mostly underlies federal lands–contains as much oil as the entire proven reserves of the rest of the world combined. America is uniquely blessed in its energy resources. Two questions remain: 1) will Obama finally abandon his moronic two percent claim, and 2) will Obama, in a possible second term, block the development of the resources that can assure America’s economic supremacy for generations? And this is from a Research Brief of The Rand Corporation:
So, the next time a Liberal environmental wacko tries to tell you the United States is sitting on only 2% of the world's oil supply, feel free to call him a liar. The Oil Shale Resource BaseThe Green River Formation, which covers parts of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, has the largest known oil shale deposits in the world, holding from 1.5 to 1.8 trillion barrels of oil. Of that, roughly 800 billion barrels are recoverable — more than triple Saudi Arabia’s proven oil reserves. Present U.S. demand for petroleum products is about 20 million barrels per day, so 800 billion barrels would last for more than 400 years if oil shale could be used to meet a quarter of that demand.

Krauthammer: Obama's Energy Policy
Charles Krauthammer expanded on what he says in the above video in his column today at National Review Online.
Herewith some excerpts (emphasis added):
Yes, of course, presidents have no direct control over gas prices. But the American people know something about this president and his disdain for oil. The “fuel of the past,” he contemptuously calls it. To the American worker who doesn’t commute by government motorcade and is getting fleeced every week at the pump, oil seems very much a fuel of the present — and of the foreseeable future.President Obama incessantly claims energy open-mindedness, insisting that his policy is “all of the above.” Except, of course, for drilling...
But the event that drove home the extent of Obama’s antipathy to nearby, abundant, available oil was his veto of the Keystone pipeline. It gave the game away, because the case for Keystone is so obvious and overwhelming. Vetoing it gratuitously prolongs our dependence on outside powers, kills thousands of shovel-ready jobs, forfeits a major strategic resource to China, damages relations with our closest ally, and sends billions of oil dollars to Hugo Chávez, Vladimir Putin, and already obscenely wealthy sheiks.
Obama boasts that on his watch, production is up and imports down. True, but truly deceptive. These increases have occurred in spite of his restrictive policies. They are the result of Clinton- and Bush-era permitting. This has been accompanied by a gold rush of natural-gas production resulting from new fracking technology that has nothing at all to do with Obama.
“The American people aren’t stupid,” said Obama on February 23, mocking “Drill, baby, drill.” The “only solution,” he averred in yet another major energy speech last week, is that “we start using less, that lowers the demand, prices come down.” Yet five paragraphs later he claimed that regardless of “how much oil we produce at home . . . that’s not going to set the price of gas worldwide.”
So: Decreasing U.S. demand will lower oil prices, but increasing U.S. supply will not? This is ridiculous. Either both do or neither does. Does Obama read his own speeches? It's been fairly obvious over the past three years that Obama has virtually no understanding of economics. He has now demonstrated that he doesn't even grasp the basic principle of supply and demand.

Nancy Pelosi is Delusional or a Bad Liar - or Both
The Cato Institute published this press release of Nancy Pelosi, in which she explains the reason for the rise in gasoline prices, on its Blog today. Here's a clip:
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the rising gas prices across the country:
“Independent reports confirm that speculators are driving up the cost of oil, hurting consumers and potentially damaging the economic recovery. Wall Street profiteering, not oil shortages, is the cause of the price spike. In fact, U.S. oil production is at its highest level since 2003, and millions of acres have been cleared for additional development.
“We need to take strong action to protect consumers from this speculation. Unfortunately, Republicans have chosen to protect the interests of Wall Street speculators and oil companies instead of the interests of working Americans by obstructing the agencies with the responsibility of enforcing consumer protection laws. They have also repeatedly opposed our efforts to end billions of dollars in outdated taxpayer subsidies for oil companies enjoying record profits.
“We support efforts by the Obama Administration to expand domestic energy resources, including natural gas and renewable sources like wind and solar that create jobs in America and will end our dangerous dependence on foreign energy supplies. This can be achieved because today, the United States currently has more oil and gas rigs at work than the rest of the world combined, and imports of foreign oil have decreased.“We call on the Republican leadership to act on behalf of American consumers and join our efforts to crack down on speculators who care more about their profits than the price at the pump even if these spikes harm the American consumer and our economy.”
Apparently this woman is unfamiliar with the Keystone Pipeline and the person stopping it.
