Those of us who attended Catholic schools will remember what the Nuns drilled into us: "Sanctifying Grace comes to us through the Sacraments; Actual grace is a temptation to do good." "Amazing Grace" was a protestant hymn with which we were not familiar - and which we never sang in church.
