Caroline Glick: Media Bias in Israel
Caroline Glick, who specializes in satirical depictions of the Israeli Left and others in sympathy with them, posted this video on Tribal Update. It's titled: "If settlements are legal, then Israel must be breaking the law." This could remind you of the type of coverage of the news by the cast at MSNBC.

Thomas Sowell: Racism and George Zimmerman
Dr. Thomas Sowell takes the mainstream media to task for once again (in the Trayvon Martin case) "filtering and slanting the news to fit their own vision of the world."
"One of the first things presented in the media was a transcript of a conversation between George Zimmerman and a police dispatcher. The last line in most of the transcripts shown on TV was that of the police dispatcher telling Zimmerman not to continue following Trayvon Martin."That became the basis of many media criticisms of Zimmerman for continuing to follow him. Only later did I see a transcript of that conversation on the Sean Hannity program that included Zimmerman’s reply to the police dispatcher: “Okay.”
"That reply removed the only basis for assuming that Zimmerman did in fact continue to follow Trayvon Martin. At this point, neither I nor the people who assumed that he continued to follow the teenager have any basis in fact for believing that he did or didn’t."

Negroes with Guns: Ann Coulter
A World War II Marine veteran, Robert F. Williams, wrote "Negroes with Guns," published in 1962 and available HERE. It's the story "of a southern black community's struggle to arm itself in self-defense against the Ku Klux Klan and other racist groups."
Ann Coulter's column today at Human Events discusses the lessons of the book in light of the hyper reported Trayvon Martin case and the subsequent ill-advised demand by some for tighter gun control laws.
We don't know the facts yet, but let's assume the conclusion MSNBC is leaping to is accurate: George Zimmerman stalked a small black child and murdered him in cold blood, just because he was black.
If that were true, every black person in America should get a gun and join the National Rifle Association, America's oldest and most august civil rights organization.
Apparently this has occurred to no one because our excellent public education system ensures that no American under the age of 60 has the slightest notion of this country's history.
Gun control laws were originally promulgated by Democrats to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. This allowed the Democratic policy of slavery to proceed with fewer bumps and, after the Civil War, allowed the Democratic Ku Klux Klan to menace and murder black Americans with little resistance.
(Contrary to what illiterates believe, the KKK was an outgrowth of the Democratic Party, with overlapping membership rolls. The Klan was to the Democrats what the American Civil Liberties Union is today: Not every Democrat is an ACLU'er, but every ACLU'er is a Democrat. Same with the Klan.)
In the preface to "Negroes With Guns," Williams writes: "I have asserted the right of Negroes to meet the violence of the Ku Klux Klan by armed self-defense -- and have acted on it. It has always been an accepted right of Americans, as the history of our Western states proves, that where the law is unable, or unwilling, to enforce order, the citizens can, and must act in self-defense against lawless violence."
Contrary to MSNBC hosts, I do not believe the shooting in Florida is evidence of a resurgent KKK. But wherever the truth lies in that case, gun control is always a scheme of the powerful to deprive the powerless of the right to self-defense.You can read the whole Coulter rant by clicking on the Human Events link above.

Jeffrey Lord: "The Plot to Get Rush"
Jeffrey Lord, writing at The American Spectator today, exposes the plan of the Left to get Rush Limbaugh off the air. It's a fascinating and illuminating piece worthy of Lord. It makes abundantly clear how the far Left is orchestrating the media and, in some cases, a totally unaware public, by carefully executing a plan modeled on the French Revolution's "Reign of Terror," Lenin's "Black Book of Communism," the Nazi's "Not for Aryans" campaign, and the favorite weapon of Mao Tse Tung, "Chinese Roulette." Please read the whole article by clicking on the link below.

Freedom's Charter: Madison Was Wrong, Pt 1
That's Scott Ott of PJTV, and this is from his new project: "Freedom's Charter."
"In this special Freedom's Charter preview: James Madison devoted two full essays in the Federalist Papers to laying out the various ways that the proposed Constitution would protect the states from an over-reaching Federal government. But as Scott Ott reveals, Madison didn't seem to anticipate that the biggest threat wouldn't come from Federal bullies with bullets, and that the states might voluntarily surrender their sovereignty."

Bill Press is an Embarrassment & Disgrace
Never liked this guy before; like him less now. He's a typical Liberal who is exactly the kind of person referred to by Bishop Fulton Sheen when he said:
“Why are those who are notoriously undisciplined and unmoral also most contemptuous of religion and morality? They are trying to solace their own unhappy lives by pulling the happy down to their own abysmal depths.”

We just received this E-Mail from Roger Simon, CEO of PJ Media, the folks who bring us Trifecta, Afterburner, Firewall, Whittle & Klavan, ZoNation, Joe Hicks, and so much more. They're now producing 20 episodes of Freedom's Charter with Scott Ott, one of the Trifecta gang. The new series is all about our Constitution. If you join PJTV, you can watch all 20 episodes (they only run about three minutes each) and everything else produced by PJTV. It's well worth the price.
Hello,
We just released a new episode of Freedom's Charter, our new series on the U.S. Constitution featuring Scott Ott. As a PJTV member, you will have access to the 20 episodes that make up this special series with a new one posted to our website each week.
In this week's episode, Scott explains how our Constitution was given its real power and legitimacy by thousands of men who created this timeless document based on the will of the people. The U.S. Constitution was not a creature of government. It was not drawn up by the congress nor ratified by the legislature. It came to life via a process called ratification. The people retain the right to alter or abolish any form of government that proves destructive to life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness.

Thank you again for being a valued member of PJTV. We appreciate your support and hope that you will continue to enjoy our content. As always, we would love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
Sincerely,
Roger L. Simon

When You've Lost David Brooks...
The president is in serious trouble; he's lost his greatest fan - the one who is considered by some the "Conservative" voice at the New York Times. David Brooks, in today's column, seems to have fallen out of love with his hero.

Bret Stephens: Is Obama Smart?
Forget about Obama having a secret plan to bring the United States down; he simply isn't smart enough to have a plan to do much of anything. He's been getting by on his empty rhetoric and synthetic eloquence.
Linked below is a must read column by the Wall Street Journal's inestimable Bret Stephens. Here are some clips:
How many times have we heard it said that Mr. Obama is the smartest president ever? Even when he's criticized, his failures are usually chalked up to his supposed brilliance. Liberals say he's too cerebral for the Beltway rough-and-tumble; conservatives often seem to think his blunders, foreign and domestic, are all part of a cunning scheme to turn the U.S. into a combination of Finland, Cuba and Saudi Arabia.
I don't buy it. I just think the president isn't very bright.
Much is made of the president's rhetorical gifts. This is the sort of thing that can be credited only by people who think that a command of English syntax is a mark of great intellectual distinction. Can anyone recall a memorable phrase from one of Mr. Obama's big speeches that didn't amount to cliché?

Did Those on the Left Not Hear Joe Biden?
Joe Biden calls the Republican party a bunch of terrorists on the very day that Gabby Giffords is casting her first vote in Congress since being shot in the head (after which Obama had given a speech calling for civility, a new tone, and no more martial metaphors), and the Left wing media gives him (Biden) yet another pass. Such media bias should upset every fair minded citizen, and it got National Review's Johah Goldberg more than upset. He spells it out in this post to The Corner on National Review Online.

Krauthammer: Media Bias on "Inside Washington"
Gordon Peterson, host of "Inside Washington," proved no match for Charles Krauthammer the other day, and not solely because Krauthammer was right. Don't miss the cackling Nina Totenberg.

Firewall: Memebusters & Gutsy Calls

Not that any of us need reminding, but the media uses different memes for reporting the actions of different presidents from different political parties.
Bill Whittle, in the below edition of "Firewall," provides us with a number of examples of recent vintage to make the point, and also defines, clearly, exactly what makes a call "gutsy.".

Why Ladies Love 'Atlas Shrugged' the Movie
That's Amy Holmes, who apparently is no longer with CNN since she's making videos for PJTV. In the below video she talks with Katie Pavlich and Kristen Soltis about part 1 of the just released movie "Atlas Shrugged." They're in agreement that this is a film that women (especially women of strength) will love.
