Day 1 B

Took a walk around the area before my shift and found Lake Hood just a block away. It's the largest seaplane base in the world. Took some photos, and you'll see some of the planes have replaced their pods with skis, since the lake (like everything else around here) is frozen. Also took a photo of the tunnel between the Quality Inn, where I'm staying, and the Econo Lodge, which houses the restaurant where we get our hot breakfast buffet. The tunnel was a surprise, and it helped to wake me up this morning. It's a little bright as you can see.
