The best example of the media's double standard is manifest in the coverage given to "death threats" against the current occupant of the White House and the coverage that had been afforded the multifarious and sometimes serious threats against his predecessor. Yesterday's post on Zomblog provided numerous examples of the threats against George W. Bush that mostly went unreported by the major media. For some reason, threats against Bush did not seem to matter, but even a perceived threat against his successor engenders near hysteria in the mass media.
