Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Abortion for Undesired Populations

Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Sotomayor and Abortion for Undesired 'Populations' - Ed Whelan - The Corner on National Review Online

Let's see now, when Justice Ginsburg says: "Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of," I can't imagine which populations she was assuming we "don't want to have too many of." Couldn't be Conservative Irish Catholics could it? Surely she couldn't have been thinking of American Blacks, because she would then qualify as a racist (given her strong support for abortion), and liberals - especially liberal justices - can never be called racists.
