Sundays are for Beauty - Ave Maria

This is a clip from my all-time favorite movie: Going My Way, the highest-grossing picture of 1944. Bing Crosby plays a new Catholic priest sent to an old parish, St. Dominic's, that has fallen on hard times. The pastor of St. Dominic's is played by Barry Fitzgerald. The picture won seven Oscars: Bing Crosby won Best Actor; Barry Fitzgerald won Best Supporting Actor. That's American Mezzo-Soprano Rise Stevens (pronounced "REE-sah") singing with Bing and his choir of former juvenile delinquents.

It's a beautiful movie, and one for the whole family.
