Too much to ask?
John Conyers has been representing Michigan's 14th district since 1965 meaning he has won 22 elections in a row, and has served 44 years in the U. S. House of Representatives. He is a lawyer and currently serves as chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary. With that in mind, this couldn't possibly be him in the above video, could it? I think it is, and apparently he's telling his constituents, and the rest of us, that it's simply too much to ask an elected representative to actually read a Bill that will dramatically effect (many say for the worse) the delivery (and, in some cases, non-delivery) of our health care.
The irony is that Chairman Conyers is making the case against rushing into Obamacare. Perhaps even he will be opposed to it if he learns what's in it, but don't bet on that; he's never been opposed to government interference in other people's lives.
